The old city of Jerusalem

For the last day of the tour we were touring the old city of Jerusalem. So much history here it's crazy. There are 4 quarters in the old city, Muslim, Jewish, Christian and Armenian. All hold this place holy and all have to share it. 30,000 people live in this tiny area of the old town.

A huge dispute about this entrance to the Muslim mosque between the Jews and Arabs. Like 8 or 10 years. Still using the temporary bridge. This is how the middle east is...

Muslim Mosque

A bunch of Muslim women reading the Quran

Dome of the rock! This is where Muslims believe Mohammed was taken to heaven.

View of the Mount of Olives.

This little area inside this is actual bedrock from Mount Moriah.

Huge amounts of bread is sold here everywhere!

The old city!

Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Many Christian faiths believe this is where Christ is crucified and buried. I dont and many Christians don't for many many reasons. No real evidence of any kind besides some tradition supports this as the location. Lots of idol worship here...

They believe Christ was lain on this slab of stone after crucifixion.

Awesome picture here. Western Wall of the Jews and Dome of the Rock of the Muslims. Can't we all just get along?

We went to the western wall again to see the Bar Mitvah's. It was fun and interesting.

Ruins of ancient Jerusalem.

These were the steps Christ and others walked up to do animal sacrifices in the old temple. Some of the steps are the exact same steps dating to the 1st century.

There are many Extreme Orthodox Jews who are decked out. Thousands! Here is a picture I was finally able to capture of two. They wear the black suits, have the long curls and beards and they wear these cool hats. Very interesting...

To conclude the tour we went to the hills of Bethlehem and had a fantastic experience reading scriptures about Bethlehem and if course reading Luke 2. And we also spent time listening to Christmas music! So cool. It was a great end of the tour! The highest up chapel is the Church of the Nativity we visited.

Our driver Ofur and I saying goodbye. What a stud!
