Jefe joins the party!

My roommate and good friend was waiting at the hostel after the Bath House. Let me just say, Jefe (Jeff) has been one of my loyal followers and readers of the blog. So I'm ecstatic to get him on the blog now!

He didn't know if he could make it for a while for a few reasons, but when he told me he was coming for sure on this part of the trip, I jumped for joy in my Kuala Lumpur Malaysia hostel.

Welcome to the party Jefe! You've been Trippin with Trav since the beginning and now we trip together!

He had quite the adventure getting here, flight cancellation from SLC to NY and then barely made his flight from NY to Frankfurt.

Walking through Budapest.

Sweet.

Some cool building.

Szent Istvan Basilika! Translation is St Stevens Cathedral.

I asked this woman to take a picture for us. This is easily the worst picture I have ever seen! It made us laugh so hard cause it is just awful!

As you can see half the cathedral is missing, we got hundreds of cobblestone in the picture in front of us, there is a finger in the picture and she told us after it is a great picture haha. Wow did it make me laugh!

Waiting for our friends Kirsten and Maryelle to get some dinner. So good to be traveling with good proper people!

We walked past the front side of the cathedral for dinner.

I'm sad I didn't get any pictures of us at dinner with Kirsten and Maryelle. We all got Hungarian food and watched Italy and England duke it out in dramatic fashion in the Euro Cup.

The next morning we headed to Margaret Island.

I got in trouble for snapping this picture. Some superstar model or something. You can always sneak one picture in haha.

Awesome!

We met up with Kirsten and Maryelle again! They are so much fun and are so cool.

Can you see me jumping?

We then saw the unthinkable. A bus floating down the river!

What!?!?

Hungarian Deer. Free the deer!

The side of the Parliament Building.

This is one of the coolest buildings ever! Jed told me the inside is unbelievable.

Budapest Subway.

This is Hero Square. A memorial for the King's and people who have helped protect or fight for Hungary.

Whipping a horse with a snake!

So cool!

The Anonymous Writer.

Gosh I'm cool.

On our way to the Subway then the Train Station to go to Vienna. Raining pretty hard.

Before we left Jed said we had to get a Hungarian Gyro. Pretty dang good.

At the train station.

Peace out Budapest.

In conclusion, Budapest and Hungary exceeded my expectations by a long shot. I loved it! It is beautiful and the buildings are some of the coolest I've seen. The Hungarian people also seem really cool. They seem friendly and welcoming.

It was great to see the joy it brought Jed to be back in his mission as well. I would definitely say Budapest is underrated as a city, but I kinda like that about Budapest. I definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
